Wednesday Share Thread 5/17/23

It’s time for our Wednesday Share Thread! Here’s what to do:

1 - Share a win! This is about celebrating ourselves and each other. Share something you accomplished over the last week, either personal or blogging-related.

2 - Share a resource! Is there something you discovered recently that you found helpful? Maybe an article, a webinar, a course, or someone to follow on social media. It could be anything!

Feel free to do one or both!

I’ll put mine below, and I encourage others to jump in as well.

My win from the past week is that my organic traffic is finally starting to grow! Last year was rough for me but I’ve been super head down over the last 5-6 months and I feel like it’s starting to pay off. I’m sure it doesn’t hurt that we’re heading into grilling season. But still, I’m up YOY so I’ll take it!

My resource is something I got in an email from Jenny Melrose today, and it’s not necessarily blogging related. It’s an online Life Skills Summer Camp for kids. Basically it’s a summit with short videos teaching kids certain life skills (or show adults how to teach them). It looks interested and it’s free, so I signed up to check it out. Yay @taryn for organic traffic growth! :confetti_ball:

Win: We just wrapped one of the year-long EBT mastermind groups today and it was a massive success. I loved watching these bloggers grow, develop friendships, connect and absolutely blossom as food media entrepreneurs!

Resource: I found a new podcast that I’m loving called Project Me with Tiffany. The first episode I listened to was this one and WOW… It was like all of my exhaustion from the past 5 months finally made sense. As an introvert empath, I expend a lot of energy on human interactions. I was attributing my energy drain to poor sleep, too much on my plate, etc, but it all comes down to managing my interactions with people ineffectively. I highly recommend giving this episode a listen, if you too are an empath and find yourself drained a lot of the time (with no apparent explanation)!
