It’s time for our Wednesday Share Thread! Here’s what to do:
1 - Share a win! This is about celebrating ourselves and each other. Share something you accomplished over the last week, either personal or blogging-related.
2 - Share a resource! Is there something you discovered recently that you found helpful? Maybe an article, a webinar, a course, or someone to follow on social media. It could be anything!
I’ll put mine in below, and I encourage others to jump in as well!
My win is that I’ve been working on consistency within my business - with posts, Pinterest, FB, email - just everything. And I’m happy to say I’ve been really consistent the last couple of months!
Win: I took all of last week off and hardly touched my computer at all (minus sorting through emails and creating a few IG reels). This is HUGE for me.
Resource: I’m doing another round of time logging, so my resource is the Toggl app. It is amazing if you want to log work time or just to get a handle on where exactly you are spending your time.
Win: I’ve been working on Pinterest - consistency in pinning daily, at least one idea pin a week, etc. My traffic and impressions are growing consistently. Very pleased with that, but my follower number is still really low. Soooooo…
Resource: Heard about a widget called MiloTree (Megan was recently on the creator’s podcast!) that pops up a “join my Pinterest page” widget on your site when someone visits for the first time. Installed it maybe 3 weeks ago and I’m seeing slow but steady growth in followers. There’s a free trial and then $9 / mo. For me, it’s been worth it, so plan to keep it after the trial.
I don’t really have a new resource to share this week as I haven’t been look at anything beyond what’s in front of me this week.
But I still wanted to add my win. I had by far my most downloaded episode of my podcast last week. Thanks to @amykatz who made a cameo appearance on an episode and then shared it with her email subscribers. It was my most downloaded episode of all time in just a couple days after it was published.
My win for this week was that I had a coaching call with Aleka/ Cooking with Keywords . That was so informative and an eye opener for SEO. and also sent a pitch to a brand- and sent follow ups to the pitches I hadn’t heard back. (This is a big deal for me because these are the first pitches I’ve ever sent)
My resource to share is that I have been reading a book from Jen Sincero called You are a badass at making money . From reading this so far, it helps me understand I need to some work on my mindset around money .
