Webshop for print on demand books, e-books, calendars etc

I would love to start a webshop where I can sell a print on demand cookbook, e-books, maybe some print on demand calendars with recipes, meal plan cards and so on…

But I am afraid it might be just a waste of time, as my audience is looking for a recipe and is not in a shopping mood…

What are your thoughts? Do any of you already have a similar webshop? How are your experiences?

Thanks in advance!

My first thought is - have you asked your audience?

I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve had an idea I thought my audience would like (or buy) and they didn’t.

So I would start conversations with your audience about it. You could have them take a polls, respond to emails, however you think you’ll get the best/most responses.

If you’ve already done this and are ready to move forward, I don’t personally have experience with it. I don’t know many who do, though one name comes to mind and I believe her cookbooks are print on demand. I can reach out to her and ask her what platform she uses for it if you’d like.

 no i did’t even think of the most obvious - asking my audience, thanks! I already did some research on the platforms available so I don’t think it’s necessary to ask her, but thank you very much

You’re more than welcome! It’s the step I seem to forget but is the most important!
