Hello everyone!
My name is Irene Mercadal and I am originally from Chile, but currently because of my husband’s work we are living north of Atlanta in Laurenceville Georgia.
I studied 3 years of Food Engineering and then I switched to gastronomic production
When I started with my blog in 2018 it was called minigourmet and focused on children’s food, but long short story ended up changing it to my name, that is to say that now it is irenemercadal.com
I focus on Chilean cuisine (sometimes also Argentine or Peruvian) since they are quite similar in Spanish.
I fell in love with the development of recipes when I did one of my internships in the magazine Paula (the same one in which I started writing Isabel Allende)
And my fun fact is that Irene is my middle name, my “real” name is Pilar (thats mean pillar o column in spanish), and my father is an architect in one of the most seismic countries in the world
ps: I love google translate jajaja
